What are you listening to right now? (VOL I)
Posted by: Tam on 06 June 2005
Anyway, to kick things off, I'm currently, and probably for most of the rest of this week, listening to Radio 3's Beethoven Experience. They're doing one of the piano concertos at the moment and (number 2 with Glenn Gould). Anyway, the experience thing probably needs its own thread, but, even on this cheapo radio it's proving fairly enjoyable.
So, what are you listening to right now?

Hi Fishki!
Oh how my heart aches to go away forever!

ECM is.........................delicatessen!!

About that second hand CDs' shop...........do they have a site?
As i can't reduce the number of the records i get i'd try to reduce the price.

Cheers

Indeed, begining to listen to music rather than hifi again.

Havent heard this on the CDX2/XPS2 yet.
Cant wait..here goes!
Jason,
Never picked up the Man with the Movie Camera. I have their previous one. Good stuff.
Seeing that you haven't posted, the CDX2/XPS2 is treating you well.
I'm jumping back and forth between the CDX/XPS2 and LP12 tonite and have to say the former hasn't let me down!
Kuma,
The cdx2/xps2 on the front of 282/psc/hi-cap2/200 is simply stunning. Worth every penny IMHO. And im sure many have said this before me.

Tonight is one of those nights i'm hardly considering sleeping as a possible option!

Music is flowing rich and gently.
How to explain it to my boss when he see me proping myself against a wall!

"Buy yourself a Naim set and some cds" i'd say.

Just about to put on Ricecare in Six Voices from the Musical Offering by old Bach (Edwin Fischer conducting his Chamber Orchestra in about 1930), before turning out the lights and hitting the hay... Fred
The strings bring a most beautiful and singing quality to these most beautiful lines. sublime, and for once I prefer a rendering not on the proper instruments. Harpsichords!
