What are you listening to right now? (VOL I)

Anyway, to kick things off, I'm currently, and probably for most of the rest of this week, listening to Radio 3's Beethoven Experience. They're doing one of the piano concertos at the moment and (number 2 with Glenn Gould). Anyway, the experience thing probably needs its own thread, but, even on this cheapo radio it's proving fairly enjoyable.

Saturday morning. The sun is shining but for some reason I am listening to Beethoven's Moonlight Sonata on the new Havard Gimse CD.

Picked up alot of second hand vinyl today.
Bach Toccata & Fugue with Edward Biggs in Thomaskirche Leipzig, Eterna label
Beethoven Violin concerto, Josef Suk, Adrian Boult, EMI label.
just to mention a few. I am really scratching the surface with the possibility of classics on vinyl, but the occasional gem comes up.
Followed by Complete piano trios from Mozart with Beaux Arts Trio. Shame that the complete Haydn piano trios are not remastered like these pieces.

Derek Trucks Band - Songlines. An Amazon reccommendation given that I had purchased a Ben Harper CD, but more like the Allman Brothers. What Saturday nights are all about, let the good times roll. Will be in my top 10 rock / pop for the year without doubt. Will probably be getting a lot of air time in the car as that is the only place I can really crank it up these days
