What are you listening to right now? (VOL I)
Posted by: Tam on 06 June 2005
Anyway, to kick things off, I'm currently, and probably for most of the rest of this week, listening to Radio 3's Beethoven Experience. They're doing one of the piano concertos at the moment and (number 2 with Glenn Gould). Anyway, the experience thing probably needs its own thread, but, even on this cheapo radio it's proving fairly enjoyable.
So, what are you listening to right now?

"Eyes to the Telescope" KT Tunstall. In my defence, my partner's choice! With the 555PS added to the CDX2 sounds pretty good.

"Piper at the gates of dawn". Really enjoying this 39 year old recording on an early CD release.

Chris,
It's a class album, very original and sang and played with balls. Saw her play it in a tiny cafe in Newcastle on the week of release and she was superb. Very talented and at the time I predicted she'd be a star.............. mind i often do that and fall flat on my ar** Its not that critically aclaimed but excellent non the less. "Eye to the Binoculars" is her follow up

The Jacques Loussier Trio - The Bach Book. I've been meaning to pick this up ever since their version of the 5th Brandenburg caught my ear during radio 3's Bach Christmas - wonderful stuff.
