What are you listening to right now? (VOL I)

Posted by: Tam on 06 June 2005

Anyway, to kick things off, I'm currently, and probably for most of the rest of this week, listening to Radio 3's Beethoven Experience. They're doing one of the piano concertos at the moment and (number 2 with Glenn Gould). Anyway, the experience thing probably needs its own thread, but, even on this cheapo radio it's proving fairly enjoyable.

So, what are you listening to right now?

Diccus - It isn't solo - it just starts off like that and the band are very subtle thoughout.

Double album. CD. First one is strictly rock. The second cd is slower and more acoustical.

Ben and his men plays more than 200 concerts a year., And they are great live performers. Big Grin

If i recall Ian Rankin has a pretty good taste in music (whatever that is Big Grin) and he references quite a lot of music, mainly rock based in his Rebus novels. Met him once in Waterstones, Durham doing a book signing. Nice bloke, down to earth, no pretentions. I expected massive cues to see him and there was only a couple of us................. not quite a Jordan signing session then. I'll have to check R4 to see if his choices are listed.

Cheers

Hi folks,

I'm listening to Sade - 'Hang on to Your Love'.

A most underrated jazz/blues singer IMHO backed by one of the tightest rhythm sections on the planet. My system loves those transients! I just love Sade.

I know it's copy-cat but I don't care - Sade, summer, and dinner on the way - excellent. Cool

There are several good tunes by Nils Lnadgren on this disc.
A perfect disc for a bass junky.

Evening Kuma, (or whatever it is in your part of the world!)

Indeed, the Leftism cd puts the system to the test (and the neighbours Big Grin) I take it you have it on the triple vinyl???

Unusual choice you have there with the 'Toys' soundtrack? Great film tho.
