What are you listening to right now? (VOL I)

Posted by: Tam on 06 June 2005

Anyway, to kick things off, I'm currently, and probably for most of the rest of this week, listening to Radio 3's Beethoven Experience. They're doing one of the piano concertos at the moment and (number 2 with Glenn Gould). Anyway, the experience thing probably needs its own thread, but, even on this cheapo radio it's proving fairly enjoyable.

So, what are you listening to right now?

Great record. One of my favorite Tom Waits Lps. I would also second Rasher's recommendation of Wrecking Ball. I found it used for about 5 bucks in a used record store a few years back. A German import to boot.

Actually all this morning since getting up at 6 AM Iv'e been listening to silence. Or just the sound of the fan and traffic noise from outside. It's quite nice. I've had days of leaving the tuner on classical and it drains the enjoyment after a while. Silence recharges.

Love this one. Think I'll have to queue it up. I have two copies one of which is a Japan pressing and highly recommend it if you see one for sale.

Cheers,
Larry
