What are you listening to right now? (VOL I)

Posted by: Tam on 06 June 2005

Anyway, to kick things off, I'm currently, and probably for most of the rest of this week, listening to Radio 3's Beethoven Experience. They're doing one of the piano concertos at the moment and (number 2 with Glenn Gould). Anyway, the experience thing probably needs its own thread, but, even on this cheapo radio it's proving fairly enjoyable.

So, what are you listening to right now?

I'll continue with this one, and the cello playing is wonderful (David Darling)!

Saw her play life, last year, and was very moved by her playing. Try and read her book ! Story of a strong woman.

and what a talent!
I have a great admiration for her.
I like Martha's solo piano playing but Helene, perhaps, is a bit more lyrical.

Stafan,
Even on a CD, I was moved. I bet she's great live.
If she comes around in town, I have to make a point of seeing her, for sure.

My first listen to this favorite of Stefan's which arrived over the weekend. First impressions are positive - it's helping me unwind from a 4hr drive !

On vinyl and still compelling after all these years. Trane was the best, 'nough said!
