What are you listening to right now? (VOL I)

Posted by: Tam on 06 June 2005

Anyway, to kick things off, I'm currently, and probably for most of the rest of this week, listening to Radio 3's Beethoven Experience. They're doing one of the piano concertos at the moment and (number 2 with Glenn Gould). Anyway, the experience thing probably needs its own thread, but, even on this cheapo radio it's proving fairly enjoyable.

So, what are you listening to right now?

Chris N's Soft Machine thread is here.

There are two new compilations of early Softs music The Soft Machine Turns On volumes 1 & 2, they are interesting, but the sound quality is a bit iffy.

Some old record Lenny Kravitz CD's from the collection, and I can't help still liking it. Brings back some good memories.

And then Mahler symphony no. 6 by Eiji Oue and the Osaka Symphony Orchestra. It's the first Mahler 6 I hear, so I cannot really compare it to anything. But it sounds nice to me Smile. I also have Gary Bertini Mahler cycle, so I will check out no. 6 from that one soon.
