What are you listening to right now? (VOL I)
Posted by: Tam on 06 June 2005
Anyway, to kick things off, I'm currently, and probably for most of the rest of this week, listening to Radio 3's Beethoven Experience. They're doing one of the piano concertos at the moment and (number 2 with Glenn Gould). Anyway, the experience thing probably needs its own thread, but, even on this cheapo radio it's proving fairly enjoyable.
So, what are you listening to right now?

All on gorgeous original vinyl.

You're so right - I've moved on to

In Search Of The Lost Chord
The Moody Blues were unique - I don't think anybody else quite sounded like them. I love their music.

Still trying to retune into the 552, attempting to listen to one track but sitting spellbound start to finish! This evening has had:
Bob Dylan's Modern Times - 3rd time this week, so it can't be bad!
Next a blast from the past - Led Zep IV - first time I've heard Sandy Denny's voice break through with such force - many other new presentations on each track... just amazing!
Then came Mark Knopfler Sailing to Philidelphia with several friends including Van Morrison, James Taylor, Gillian Welch and others all in crystal clear hdcd
If I have time, may just squeeze in Leftield before rushing off to meet king morpheus...
Peter [in awe & dumbstruck]

I'm starting the day with some nice classical music.
And who said that Naim was no good on classical music?

Mahler symphony no. 6 performed by Mackerras and the BBC orchestra. A very exciting and fresh reading! But still my favourite is Karajan.
Then Nigel Kennedy and the Four Seasons. And I like it!
