What are you listening to right now? (VOL I)

Posted by: Tam on 06 June 2005

Anyway, to kick things off, I'm currently, and probably for most of the rest of this week, listening to Radio 3's Beethoven Experience. They're doing one of the piano concertos at the moment and (number 2 with Glenn Gould). Anyway, the experience thing probably needs its own thread, but, even on this cheapo radio it's proving fairly enjoyable.

So, what are you listening to right now?

Firstly one of my early heroines, this is the horses/Horses live in London special edition.

Followed by Lucinda who i'm off to see at the Sage in Gateshead supported by Richard Thompson's lad Teddy next month.

do you guys like his solo stuff as much as the Ben Folds Five?
I haven't bought anything by him since The Unauthorized Biography of Reinhold Messner which I love.

Usually, I don't care for their stuff, but this was only a 99 cent LP!

Actually, this one is pretty okey. ( altho, I would have not paid 15 bucks for this CD ) Razz

Hubert Laws: Say It With Silence

Records are great. They let me explore many new tunes for cheap. Love the good discoveries.

Steve

Really looking forward to Teddy Thompson. He is also playing a solo gig at the music Store in Dipton, a tiny local near Durham. What's the album like?

Bach's Well Tempered Clavier Book 1 on piano by Edwin Fischer. Perhaps the harpsichord sounds more right with this music, but still this is a very nice recording with the more warm sound of the piano.

Dicuss - it's not bad, although I'd be suprised if Dad is playing when you see him! His website has a jukebox on it. I suspect you might like it.
