What are you listening to right now? (VOL I)

Posted by: Tam on 06 June 2005

Anyway, to kick things off, I'm currently, and probably for most of the rest of this week, listening to Radio 3's Beethoven Experience. They're doing one of the piano concertos at the moment and (number 2 with Glenn Gould). Anyway, the experience thing probably needs its own thread, but, even on this cheapo radio it's proving fairly enjoyable.

So, what are you listening to right now?

Good evening Gentlemen!
This album contains one of the most beautiful songs by Bjork.

Finishihing off this 1963 Karajan Beethoven cycle with symphony no. 9 "Choral", and what a fine performance this is! For me it's considerably more atmospheric than Harnoncourts, and Walter Berry and Gundula Janowitz provide some real nice singing. Now I look forward to hear Furtwangler's no. 9 from the wartime.

Dear Adam,

My guess would be around 700. I would say that I am a little below average of most members of this forum.

Today four CDs arrived from Italy, all of them are from CamJazz.

Here is the second one of the day:

Full of Life / Enrico Rava / CamJazz

Best regards,

Haim

Seeing your last post reminds me of a record I heard when visiting family in Umbria called 'Battisti non essisti' or something like that. Great fun.
