What are you listening to right now? (VOL I)

Posted by: Tam on 06 June 2005

Anyway, to kick things off, I'm currently, and probably for most of the rest of this week, listening to Radio 3's Beethoven Experience. They're doing one of the piano concertos at the moment and (number 2 with Glenn Gould). Anyway, the experience thing probably needs its own thread, but, even on this cheapo radio it's proving fairly enjoyable.

So, what are you listening to right now?

No 3, 4 & 5 are the only three (out of seven) piano sonatas by Albeniz to have survived complete. These early works were heavily influenced by Chopin's Waltzes and Mazurkas.
Spanish pianist Albert Guinovart is playing them real well.

Gian my friend,

You must be very strong. Doctors, lawyers and then Ludwig on the same day... In your place, after dealing with those professionals, I could not take anything heavier than a Samba.

Best regards,
