What are you listening to right now? (VOL I)

Posted by: Tam on 06 June 2005

Anyway, to kick things off, I'm currently, and probably for most of the rest of this week, listening to Radio 3's Beethoven Experience. They're doing one of the piano concertos at the moment and (number 2 with Glenn Gould). Anyway, the experience thing probably needs its own thread, but, even on this cheapo radio it's proving fairly enjoyable.

So, what are you listening to right now?

Thanks SJB!

(If I may quote SJB) "It's part of what was to be a series of official cd's to beat the bootleggers at their own game. Only one was ever released on Castle in 1992 titled "G-Men: Bootleg Series Vol 1

This is the back cover."

Please let me assure everybody that the three CDs in this set are SUPERB! Rory at his very best! Quality of performance is right up there with 'Live in Europe' and 'Irish Tour '74'. And the quality of reproduction is pretty good for the most part, especially 'Bullfrog Interlude' (aka 'What's the Story, Rory?')

Great stuff!

"B;uesbreakers" John Mayall and Eric Clapton. The "Deluxe" edition, which sounds pretty fine. Currently got the mono mix playing and it is good, very good. But how many times am I going to buy this bloody album??

If you like RAK, this is probably one of his best CDs. For me, it works, at least. One of my top-20 records. All times, all genres.

cheers

This is supposed to me my worst recording of all CDs I have (plus: when you push "PLAY", it displays the track number (1), but only starts, after you give it another short "fast forward". Anybody has this, too ?). Harsh brass instruments, shrill and distorded percussion, a real torture to listen to.

HEY ! Where did all this go ? A very pleasant CD to listen to !

Strange world...
