What are you listening to right now? (VOL I)

Posted by: Tam on 06 June 2005

Anyway, to kick things off, I'm currently, and probably for most of the rest of this week, listening to Radio 3's Beethoven Experience. They're doing one of the piano concertos at the moment and (number 2 with Glenn Gould). Anyway, the experience thing probably needs its own thread, but, even on this cheapo radio it's proving fairly enjoyable.

So, what are you listening to right now?

great mix of electronica and classical music, for a change Smile

Hi OdS!
Even the first Matrix soundtrack brings a lot of electronic and classical.
Good pieces in it as well!
You should try "Fight club" soundtrack as well!

"The Road to Escondido" again. Before that had the DVD of "Gimme Shelter" playing while I was doind stuff around my flat. Esentiallt, a documentary that starts with the "Get your Yaya's Out" concert at MSG in '69 and finishes with the darkness that was Altamont. The end of the innocence indeed.

Good evening all!
We all have a number of records that have a special place in the memory and that left unforgettable emotions. This is one of those for me.
A record i feel to suggest the purchase of.
Only few coins on Amazon Marketplace.

Was:

A real (re-) discovery. Those boys from Switzerland (?) make a clear statement in field of neo-Jazz trios and always-yesterday groups. Fresh, intelligent, a pleasure to listen to. Adrian, give this a try !

Is:

Not as "slow" as she was with her earlier CDs, but (or hence ?) a great CD.

A very laid back live performance from Stan, with excellent production. He just makes it seem so effortless.

I'm sure you already have it, but Bossas & Ballads - The Lost Sessions that came out in 2003 is definitely worthy of inclusion in any Getz collection.

Nic

Nic,

With my recent state of mind I much prefer laid back music. I do not have The Lost Sessions, and I definitely will try to get it.

Thanks a lot,

Haim
