What are you listening to right now? (VOL I)
Posted by: Tam on 06 June 2005
Anyway, to kick things off, I'm currently, and probably for most of the rest of this week, listening to Radio 3's Beethoven Experience. They're doing one of the piano concertos at the moment and (number 2 with Glenn Gould). Anyway, the experience thing probably needs its own thread, but, even on this cheapo radio it's proving fairly enjoyable.
So, what are you listening to right now?

Stefanski,
I have this Kremer and I enjoy it, though I am not sure I would have bought it if I knew that ECM would come up with the solo work performed by Holloway whom I consider superb.

Joyful, cheerful, pleasant:
Have heard better of HR big band (for example together with Trovesi), but have heard worse bands, also:
all together, not too shabby purchases
cheers

Tam,
I don't have the vocabulary or knowledge to describe much in the classical area.
This one came out as a poor cousin to the Anda I bought at the same time. It has shown itself to have more in I than I first thought and now I really like it.
can't add much more than that I'm afraid,
regards,
John

4 woman no cry.
Double-LP with white vinyl. Makes my LP12 look very sick. One female artist on each side and really-really good it is. Dorit Chrysler (includes her playing the theremin!), Mico, Monotekktoni and Iris from the US, Japan, Germany and Spain.

Something warm to defrost. I have been working for the last four hours on the driveway, trying to deal with 14 inches of very wet snow. The snowblower is totally useless.
Now if I had Gian, Mr. productivity, to help me...
