What are you listening to right now? (VOL I)
Posted by: Tam on 06 June 2005
Anyway, to kick things off, I'm currently, and probably for most of the rest of this week, listening to Radio 3's Beethoven Experience. They're doing one of the piano concertos at the moment and (number 2 with Glenn Gould). Anyway, the experience thing probably needs its own thread, but, even on this cheapo radio it's proving fairly enjoyable.
So, what are you listening to right now?

Jools Holland "Going to the Country" again. Really enjoyed the concert on Saturday and this is a very good album.

"The Doors" from the Rhino "Perception" box set. An excellent HDCD remastering of one of my favourite albums and certainly one of the very best debut albums by anybody, ever. Talk about hitting the ground running.

The Smiths 'Hatful of Hollow' on the mighty LP12. The way music like this should be played.

Hi Haim hows the snow? Have you got Ivan Moravc Live in Prague? If so is it a good album ?regards munch
Hi Munch.
It is very cold and it looks like it is going to take very long time for all the stuff (16 inches) to melt.
I do not have Moravec Live in Prague. What does he play there?
I have Moravec's playing Beethovens sonatas and Chopin's Nocturnes. Both of them are very good.

Haim

I've been listening to The Who this (and last) week. For some mysterious reason.
"..I write the same old song with a few new lines
And everybody wants to cheer it
I write the same old song you heard a good few times
Admit you really want to hear it.."
from "New Song" off 'Who Are You'
