What are you listening to right now? (VOL I)
Posted by: Tam on 06 June 2005
Anyway, to kick things off, I'm currently, and probably for most of the rest of this week, listening to Radio 3's Beethoven Experience. They're doing one of the piano concertos at the moment and (number 2 with Glenn Gould). Anyway, the experience thing probably needs its own thread, but, even on this cheapo radio it's proving fairly enjoyable.
So, what are you listening to right now?

Dear Haim!
You have to when you swim against the current from birth.

It's not a matter of "style".
Simply can't help it!
Just try to see it this way: when all around is covered with snow it means that land is sleeping under white sheets.
Now you'll think i'm crazy but i can feel it under my shoes!

Not in the best frame of mind. So diving into some great but controversial playing of truly great music.
Tchaikowksky Pathetique. BPO under Wilhelm Furtwangler in the 1938 HMV recording. What a juxtaposition...

PS: now I shall start again...
