What are you listening to right now? (VOL I)

Posted by: Tam on 06 June 2005

Anyway, to kick things off, I'm currently, and probably for most of the rest of this week, listening to Radio 3's Beethoven Experience. They're doing one of the piano concertos at the moment and (number 2 with Glenn Gould). Anyway, the experience thing probably needs its own thread, but, even on this cheapo radio it's proving fairly enjoyable.

So, what are you listening to right now?

Isn't that the Cremona (I guess Stradivari) instrument that has been kept in a bank until it was almost ruined, and that is now taken out for some playing, every now and then ?

just wondering,
Stefan

Hi Stefan!
It's a "Guarnieri del Gesù" built in 1743.
It's hard to listen to such a wonderful violin sound.
Even the highest notes are clean and sweet.
Cheers!

Good or bad this is probably the most intense time of the year.
For those who believe and for those who don't.
I'm not in the right mood to feel what they call "happy" but i want to celebrate these few days with some new music and give the span of time a meaning.
So, at last, my good dealer, sweating and panting, pass me this cd across the counter and i decide this is the moment to celebrate.
As this, the "What are you listening to right now" topic, is becoming a kind of separate forum in the forum i want to wish a brand, new, serene and peaceful year to all the people who concur (still waiting for Adam "pics"!).
Thanks to Tam who started it all and thanks to Haim that gave me this tip!

Wonderful passionate stuff, never did get round to buying any of his other cd's. I'll have to remedy that in the New Year.

My Pandora station. Tried to watch/listen to the Miles Davis film including the IOW '70 set. ???? I'm sorry it just sounds like a loadof scholl children "plonking" on any instrument, with occiasional monents of lucidity or tune as I call it. Guess it's not woth buying Bitches Brew Eh?
