What are you listening to right now? (VOL I)
Posted by: Tam on 06 June 2005
Anyway, to kick things off, I'm currently, and probably for most of the rest of this week, listening to Radio 3's Beethoven Experience. They're doing one of the piano concertos at the moment and (number 2 with Glenn Gould). Anyway, the experience thing probably needs its own thread, but, even on this cheapo radio it's proving fairly enjoyable.
So, what are you listening to right now?

The complete Bach on 155 CD's. Definitely some gems, and a lot of mediocre stuff, in the box. For reference, though, it's a great set !
cheers
Stefan
May i speculate about what you had for Christmas, Stefan?

Dear Haim,
Thanks for posting this (I have now added it to my list of CDs to pick up - I've actually been curious since I first saw it, I'm a big fan of Fleisher from his Brahms concertos, I just hadn't go around to it).
regards, Tam
Hi
This Forum earlier this year introduced me to the wonders of Fleisher/Szell/Cleveland recording of Brahams piano concertos. It was difficult to track down the CD in the UK, but I did in the end.
I now shop on line in the US for Fleisher/Szell/Cleveland recordings and have just recieved the Beethoven 5 piano concertos (CBS Records M3K 42445) & Grieg.Schumann piano concertos (Sony Classical SK 92751)in the post after a long wait, but it was very worth it, and can recommend these two recordings.
Regards
Flyfisher
