What are you listening to right now? (VOL I)

Posted by: Tam on 06 June 2005

Anyway, to kick things off, I'm currently, and probably for most of the rest of this week, listening to Radio 3's Beethoven Experience. They're doing one of the piano concertos at the moment and (number 2 with Glenn Gould). Anyway, the experience thing probably needs its own thread, but, even on this cheapo radio it's proving fairly enjoyable.

So, what are you listening to right now?

PS: what do you mean "dangerous flower"?

Thank you.

I'm not sure this will cross cultural borders, but I was thinking of a certain film, Carry On Nurse, Joan Sims, and a daffodil.

I got hold of this yesterday having had it on order for what seems like a year. If you enjoy Filter and you're also rather partial to the Stone Temple Pilots then I can safely say that it's got to be worth a (loud) listenBig Grin

A pre - release copy of the new John Hammond- Push Comes to Shove album. For a 64 year old he can sure play the blues. Wonderful album highly recommended.

Yeah, me too. They made some of the most intense music I know. Have you heard they've reformed with a new singer?

Well, the roaring storm with thunderstorm, rain floods and wind (100-150 km/h) plus the fire, ambulance and police sirens all over the place in my hotel in Hannover, North of Germany.

scary...
Stefan

Well, I hope you are sitting in the 'sweet spot' and not missing a note.

Keep warm,

While we're on this film theme, I presumably can't be the first to ask if your first name is Biggus can I? Smile

Anyway, the rest of the evening has gone swimmingly with Tim Dawe's Penrod and some relaxed prog with Führs & Fröhling’s Ammerland album and the new Repertoire re-release of Gentle Giant's Octopus, which in turn has led nicely into Late Junction.
