What are you listening to right now? (VOL I)
Posted by: Tam on 06 June 2005
Anyway, to kick things off, I'm currently, and probably for most of the rest of this week, listening to Radio 3's Beethoven Experience. They're doing one of the piano concertos at the moment and (number 2 with Glenn Gould). Anyway, the experience thing probably needs its own thread, but, even on this cheapo radio it's proving fairly enjoyable.
So, what are you listening to right now?

Munch...It has been treated to the usual obbsessive audio quality control. It's a bit toooo polished IMO. If you have heard this:quote:Hi to you both ,I dont have this one, is it as good as there first six albums?regards munch

I would say 'everything must go' is more towards this than there earlier stuff.
FYI (since I believe you have multi channel this may be a possibility for you ) You can get 'everything must go' as a DVD-Audio disk with a stereo version coded at 192Khz/24bit which is excellent.

Galactica Suite.
Unfortunately this remix on this record is not as good as the original mix on a CD.

Alpha 01
and
Alpha 02
Couy almost can't fail with this Alpha stuff.
Next:
Alpha 80
Earlier:
(Funny that you have to order this German disc in the States (wearing a "Printed in Germany" sticker) to get a good price...)
Good disc with great individual pieces. No downer, from my view. But... Quite a musical range to digest from Bach (1700) to Pintscher (2004). Not easy to listen in one take. My favorite: The 1922 Ravel Sonata for Violin and V-Cello. Great music, great performance.
cheers
Stefan

Not my wierdest cd by a long shot, but this still has some decidedly strange moments
It's a sunday morning special.
