What are you listening to right now? (VOL I)

Posted by: Tam on 06 June 2005

Anyway, to kick things off, I'm currently, and probably for most of the rest of this week, listening to Radio 3's Beethoven Experience. They're doing one of the piano concertos at the moment and (number 2 with Glenn Gould). Anyway, the experience thing probably needs its own thread, but, even on this cheapo radio it's proving fairly enjoyable.

So, what are you listening to right now?

Hi OdS!
I did not see the movie yet and bought the soundtrack waiting for the first episode music to arrive from Japan.
The two soundtracks are different in my opinion.
Stand Alone Complex is more techno and somehow neutral, more western and makes me remember things like Matrix or the Quake 2 (the game) soundtrack.
Ghost in the Shell soudtrack is more exotic and more poetical (it brings some of the japanese character) while beeing electronic at the same time.
Frankly i was looking for GITS music and found this that i bought for the low price.
I'm waiting for GITS music for one track that hit me quite well.
When i'll have it i'll write and tell you about the piece i like more so you'll understand.
Cheers!
Gianluigi

Well I thought a little Edward Elgar might be the very thing. My 2 year-old, however, wanted to dance. So we're bouncing around to this:

So, Mark, how was the Russian concert and how was the caviar after it?

The Borodin piece was beautifully played and there was some lovely horn played in the second movement of the Tchaikovsky 5. Very enjoyable overall.
