What are you listening to right now? (VOL I)
Posted by: Tam on 06 June 2005
Anyway, to kick things off, I'm currently, and probably for most of the rest of this week, listening to Radio 3's Beethoven Experience. They're doing one of the piano concertos at the moment and (number 2 with Glenn Gould). Anyway, the experience thing probably needs its own thread, but, even on this cheapo radio it's proving fairly enjoyable.
So, what are you listening to right now?

Lots of Beethoven from Eugen Jochum this evening (the 7th and 8th symphonies with the BPO and the 9th with the Bavarian RSO). Very fine stuff. The 7th and 8th are much superior to his later LSO efforts I've been enjoying recently, sadly the 9th not quite so fine (though the LSO account is marred by poor recording, I'm sure the Barbican acoustic is to blame).
