What are you listening to right now? (VOL I)
Posted by: Tam on 06 June 2005
Anyway, to kick things off, I'm currently, and probably for most of the rest of this week, listening to Radio 3's Beethoven Experience. They're doing one of the piano concertos at the moment and (number 2 with Glenn Gould). Anyway, the experience thing probably needs its own thread, but, even on this cheapo radio it's proving fairly enjoyable.
So, what are you listening to right now?

Another six inches of the white stuff tonight.
With the amount of work I am putting to clear the drivway from snow every night, I might as well hook up the NAIM as an outdoors system in the yard. Like that I will have much more time to listen to it.
Thawing gently with:

Gian my friend,
I have a very long relationship with my little Toro which is built at least as well as a NAIM. In twenty years it never failed to start on the first pull, and it is still operating with its original spark-plug. Services and up-grades were never needed!
So, I don't take it badly, and I don't mind from time to time a little dance with the machine.
Regards,
Haim

Two absolutely superb albums - fantastic vocals, clever lyrics, great music.
BTW I like Caravan.

Mahler's second symphony from Klemperer and the Concertgebouw orchestra with Kathleen Ferrier. Outstandingly find - I can't fathom how this has escaped my notice for so long, quite one of the finest readings I have ever heard.
