What are you listening to right now? (VOL I)
Posted by: Tam on 06 June 2005
Anyway, to kick things off, I'm currently, and probably for most of the rest of this week, listening to Radio 3's Beethoven Experience. They're doing one of the piano concertos at the moment and (number 2 with Glenn Gould). Anyway, the experience thing probably needs its own thread, but, even on this cheapo radio it's proving fairly enjoyable.
So, what are you listening to right now?

Many of my friends can't stand his music. I still listen to his old stuff from 70's. Mainly because of nostalgia, I guess.

It's a nice CD isn't it?
I've picked it up few years back because a friend did the photography on that CD. Tuned out the contents are lovely, too.

kuma,
I liked a lot the still life photography of Michael Wilson. I did not care for the portrait of the two by Christine Alicino.
Regards,
Haim

Hi!
Yes it is.
But you'll not find it on Windham Hill or George Winston sites.
Cd's very old, printed in 1984.
To find it you have to make a search on google in the pictures.
There are 3 or 4 online shops that have it in stock.
There's not only Winston playin' but also Darol Anger, Mark Isham and Mike Marshall.
Hope you get it.

Just came back from a shopping centre where I was listening to a bunch of septuagenarians playing hokey arrangements of Christmas tunes on equally ancient instruments (tuba, sax, banjo and drums). For some reason the drummer kept pulling at one of his brushes with his (false?) teeth trying to adjust it between beats.
No surprise, it still sounded better than my $60,000 system.

Yep. Michael Wilson.
An excellent photographer with NO ego. ( what a concept! )

Excellent use of natural light and he's a very intuitive shooter. I still cherish an inpromptu shot he took of me.
