What are you listening to right now? (VOL I)

Posted by: Tam on 06 June 2005

Anyway, to kick things off, I'm currently, and probably for most of the rest of this week, listening to Radio 3's Beethoven Experience. They're doing one of the piano concertos at the moment and (number 2 with Glenn Gould). Anyway, the experience thing probably needs its own thread, but, even on this cheapo radio it's proving fairly enjoyable.

So, what are you listening to right now?

Stefan, Welcome back. I hope I am not interupting Chopin's 10 CDs.

Before you left I posted for you (on page 572) a music review of Sting's Dowland which I had found.

Hi Haim,
which of Dame Evelyn's CDs do you recommend?

Chris,

I did not know of Evelyn Glennie before I watched the film last night, and I do not have any of her CDs yet.
I suggest you watch the DVD (which is facinating) yourself and get a sense of her music. She is performing there with local musicians in the UK, US and Japan.
I think that the selection of her music will be easier then.

Regards,

Haim

Thanks naimshake! Not what I would usually choose to load into the CDX2, but in my proud dad way I do think it's pretty good. He has released 5 tunes now, and had one on a Ministry of Sound compilation.

Cheers. My man A.J.Roach is playing the Morden Tower in newcastle sometime this year. The Morden Tower holds about 30 folk and is an old poetry venue. Can't wait.
