What are you listening to right now? (VOL I)

Posted by: Tam on 06 June 2005

Anyway, to kick things off, I'm currently, and probably for most of the rest of this week, listening to Radio 3's Beethoven Experience. They're doing one of the piano concertos at the moment and (number 2 with Glenn Gould). Anyway, the experience thing probably needs its own thread, but, even on this cheapo radio it's proving fairly enjoyable.

So, what are you listening to right now?

Have you bought his new disc yet. From the tracks I have heard sounds better than the first which is saying something?

Hope you enjoy the gig.

There are I think a couple of shows of his available for free download. He doesn't mind people taping his gigs, think I have them someplace.

No i havent got the new record yet, not got round to it, but i will. Where were his concerts downloadable3 from?

Regards

You can get them from www.archive.org. It is a free archive site that keeps a lot of old speeches, radio progs etc for prosperity. It is pretty good for music as well.

There is a lot of Warren Zevon, Little Feat, Ryan Adams, Grateful Dead etc stuff on it. All this is free and artist authorised

If you need advice in how to decode the files etc you know where to come or I can do it for you and remaster if needed at the same time.

You have my email address.

Just had an afterthought you maybe want to google the Woodsongs Radio show in the US. You can download shows from them free as well. They can have things like AJ on them as well as the Blind Boys from Alabama on the same show playing live and some are excellent.

Uccellini: La Bergamasca / Arcadian Academy / Harmonia Mundi

The Arcadian Academy is a period instrument ensemble made up of members from San Francisco Philarmonia Baroque Symphony.
The Academy takes its name as well as its inspiration from the original association founded in Rome in 1690, which was a agroup of artists, musicians and writers dedicated to the reform of the Italian culture.

Indirect listening, working in the kitchen.

Gian,

I was wandering if you were a product of the Italian cultural reform (see Uccellini)?

Hi Munch!
No, i did not went out much lately.
Btw i started considering the normal 40 pounds for the model and the price they asked me.
My friend brought me back to reality and i think i could try to improve the P3 for what i can.
Much depends on the gratuity i'll have from the old company and if i can get a new job soon.
Which is not sure.
When i'll get a new one i'll surely call Scottyhammer for a photocall!

Don't laugh!! The production quality is very good. After a hectic day it's a mellow album to relax to.

Keep thinking about buying this and his first. Worthwhile doing so?

Love that ethereal quality to his voice.
