What are you listening to right now? (VOL I)
Posted by: Tam on 06 June 2005
Anyway, to kick things off, I'm currently, and probably for most of the rest of this week, listening to Radio 3's Beethoven Experience. They're doing one of the piano concertos at the moment and (number 2 with Glenn Gould). Anyway, the experience thing probably needs its own thread, but, even on this cheapo radio it's proving fairly enjoyable.
So, what are you listening to right now?

WAR: Why can't we be friends?
I think this is one of those albums that needs to be heard on a vinyl.

Just picked this one up and I must say I like it! From the first cut there is an obvious synergy and flow of music from these musicians.

This is a very special disc which never leaves our coffee table since I listen to it so often.
I just wrote to Todd Garfinkel asking him about a possibility of doing a : Further, Further Attempt..
I thought it could be a great idea to have the trio meet again and repeat the magic 17 years later.
Unfortunately, Todd replied that he was so busy running the MA label and raising a family that he rarely played the piano anymore.
What a pity.
