What are you listening to right now? (VOL I)
Posted by: Tam on 06 June 2005
Anyway, to kick things off, I'm currently, and probably for most of the rest of this week, listening to Radio 3's Beethoven Experience. They're doing one of the piano concertos at the moment and (number 2 with Glenn Gould). Anyway, the experience thing probably needs its own thread, but, even on this cheapo radio it's proving fairly enjoyable.
So, what are you listening to right now?

Hi Gianluigi,
From what I've heard so far (currently on track 9) it does seem to be a mix of more mellow and more dance (drum & bass) tunes. Reminds me of a mix of early and late EBTG.
Not unpleasant so far...
I totally agree that Tracey's voice is great
Graham.

The eternal:
Gian,
yes, you're right, and it was a great time with them ! Problem is, they do absolute magic with a lot of CD's, but don't work as a day-to-day working horse, for me. The Maggies ARE working horses, that tear the best out of EVERY record you throw at them. OTOH, they do not have these magic moments in spades. I was seriously thinking about having the Quads as "secondary" speakers that I pull out every now and then, but then I had a serious discussion with myself. Result: I carried them back to the great guys at Quad...
This is definitely not the end of that story...
cheers
Stefan

Yes!
Expanding records is one of the best with 12K and City Centre Offices and a fistfull of others.
The link i send you is one of the reffering points for indy stuff of all kind.
If you read "The Wire" you'll realize that a lot of those artists appear on that site.
Btw prices are good.
Cheers!

Luther Allison- Live in Chicago
Possibly one of the greatest live blues discs ever.
****WARNING**** his guitar playing on this one may burn your house down. Absolutely incendiary!!!!!
