What are you listening to right now? (VOL I)
Posted by: Tam on 06 June 2005
Anyway, to kick things off, I'm currently, and probably for most of the rest of this week, listening to Radio 3's Beethoven Experience. They're doing one of the piano concertos at the moment and (number 2 with Glenn Gould). Anyway, the experience thing probably needs its own thread, but, even on this cheapo radio it's proving fairly enjoyable.
So, what are you listening to right now?

I've had a f*cker of a week so far, but this popped through the letterbox...
Most/many of you seem to know it, so it'll be 'old news' to you. But to me it has come as a very welcome tonic indeed!
Good wishes to you all,
James

Saw him live supporting Lucinda Williams, god he was dull, but I hear the record is good

Mahler's 6th symphony from Rattle and the BPO (from 1987 when his hair was much scarier and his first meeting with the orchestra). A frantic, almost mad reading of this work. Wonderful fun though.
