What are you listening to right now? (VOL I)
Posted by: Tam on 06 June 2005
Anyway, to kick things off, I'm currently, and probably for most of the rest of this week, listening to Radio 3's Beethoven Experience. They're doing one of the piano concertos at the moment and (number 2 with Glenn Gould). Anyway, the experience thing probably needs its own thread, but, even on this cheapo radio it's proving fairly enjoyable.
So, what are you listening to right now?

's marvelous
Hasn't followed up on what she's been doing lately since The Three Americus.
How's this one compared to her older work?
I like it although she's a little bit Sade here and there but with Latino bits! And they're lovely bits...
Got this on now

Disc 1 from Miles Davis's Celar Door Sessions. I must confess to having been slightly disappointed with the recent boxes in this series from, but this one is really quite extraordinary - wish I hadn't held off so long in buying it.

This old chestnut is probably my favourite disc of all time. It still moves me today as much as it did when I first heard it.

Richard Thompson - Vincent Black Lightning on my iPod at work, wondering if anybody knows how to download the audio tracks from music dvds' onto iTunes (non video pod) and thinking that they don't, because you can't (maybe). Pity, because I'm currently obssessed by the Pixies Live at Newport dvd...Mat

Hi Ewemon!
Indeed a very good record.
I got this cd version that sound superb.
Btw i don't know if it's a reissue.
The hi-fi dealer in town has untraceable sources and have editions that i've never seen in my life.
Shame they are all in his private collection!

This seems to come direct from ECM, printed in Germany in 1975.
It still brings on the rear "Also available on LP & MC".
Maybe a sale from some shops' attic around the world?
