What are you listening to right now? (VOL I)

Posted by: Tam on 06 June 2005

Anyway, to kick things off, I'm currently, and probably for most of the rest of this week, listening to Radio 3's Beethoven Experience. They're doing one of the piano concertos at the moment and (number 2 with Glenn Gould). Anyway, the experience thing probably needs its own thread, but, even on this cheapo radio it's proving fairly enjoyable.

So, what are you listening to right now?

Kuma,

May I recommend?

Spectacular playing of very difficult Etudes.

Another great disc by him is Iberia by Albeniz. I think you might like this one even better:

I've bought this for Aldo Romano playing the drums, and was curious to hear the much bespoken Baptiste Trotignon, and find this to be a nice take of old familiar (pop) songs being put into a newer context.

Easy listening,

Stefan

Only on fetching the image URLs from Amazon did I realise both were "Simon"s,- spooky.

The 2 CDs reside in different sections so the selections were based on what I felt like listening to not proximity. I love coincidence.
