What are you listening to right now? (VOL I)

Posted by: Tam on 06 June 2005

Anyway, to kick things off, I'm currently, and probably for most of the rest of this week, listening to Radio 3's Beethoven Experience. They're doing one of the piano concertos at the moment and (number 2 with Glenn Gould). Anyway, the experience thing probably needs its own thread, but, even on this cheapo radio it's proving fairly enjoyable.

So, what are you listening to right now?

Blimey! Sublime to the ridiculous, cover art-wise! I actually like the FBS album. Gives the system a good workout!

Listening to her Myspace here and listening to 'Revolving door' sounds class but i keep waiting for Fagens voice to come in. What's the album like?

Regards

Diccus Cool

Album is good, very chilled and laid back, almost completely instrumental. Some might dismiss it as late-night smooth Jazz noodling.

In a different vein - Beulah Her CD is one of my recent favourites, I think you'll like it.

Ian

Cheers Ian.

Rickie cancelled Edinburgh, obviously knew you were away for the weekend and was so distraught she cancelled in a fit of pique Big Grin

Take care

No I don't. I have 7 EBTG CDs, but not that one.

Is it good? Is it acoustic stuff?

Acoustic looks to be a compilation album. I have most of the tracks already. Or are they reworked?

Sat listening to todays purchases -

Joan Armatrading - 'Into the blues' - After the first listen this seems really good.

Neil Young - 'Live at Massey Hall' - this is a superb recording and performance, love it already.
