What are you listening to right now? (VOL I)

Posted by: Tam on 06 June 2005

Anyway, to kick things off, I'm currently, and probably for most of the rest of this week, listening to Radio 3's Beethoven Experience. They're doing one of the piano concertos at the moment and (number 2 with Glenn Gould). Anyway, the experience thing probably needs its own thread, but, even on this cheapo radio it's proving fairly enjoyable.

So, what are you listening to right now?

munch - it's the cover of Mcintyre Treadmore & Davitt by Half Man Half Biscuit, which was of course taken from the superb Ripping Yarns episode Golden Gordon: Mcintyre Treadmore & Davitt were the forward line for Barnstoneworth United.

Ripping Yarns was a wonderful series - can't understand why the beeb don't repeat it instead of showing the same shows over and over.

Stefan,

You have to be more specific: 'starting off' with disc one or two? Anyway, I feel about Holloway the way you do about Trovesi, the guy never made even a mediocre disc.

Regards,

Haim
