What are you listening to right now? (VOL I)
Posted by: Tam on 06 June 2005
Anyway, to kick things off, I'm currently, and probably for most of the rest of this week, listening to Radio 3's Beethoven Experience. They're doing one of the piano concertos at the moment and (number 2 with Glenn Gould). Anyway, the experience thing probably needs its own thread, but, even on this cheapo radio it's proving fairly enjoyable.
So, what are you listening to right now?

In the screened porch, after a run, with a Mexican beer, the windows opened to hear the NAIMs & ProAcs, and with Szarkowski's "Looking At Photographs",the best photography book I own.

Her legs always are impressive.
out of interest hows her voice... the marketing on her features has tended to mean I have discounted her as a bit image before content which may be my loss..
I have to confess I have ODed on her music at various US hi-fi shows.
Her tone of the voice is all right but the delivery, to me, sounds forced, trite and oversexed. ( if you know what I mean )
Supposedly, she's good live. Less restrained and staged and let her hair down a bit.
But I am not in a hurry to found out if that's true.

Nice nothing to complain about really, its not standing out with emotion, but quite fine..
Does she only have one pair of shoes poor woman?

Think the record company that they had a proverbial sex on legs product and thats how they market her now.

If they had a few oversexed women at HiFi shows at all then the attendance might go up! I reckon if James manged to get her into his TomTom room at Heathrow it would take him even longer to get rid of us than last time. Not that this should dissuade him from trying of course. After all, they had Eleanor Mcevoy a couple of times before and while she's a perfectly good artist, she ain't no Ms Krall to look at...

Was the two most recent releases from the naïve Vivaldi series
Il Giardino Armonico and Christophe Coin, cello
Mandolin and lute music
Both excellent, Haim you will like these
Change of direction to the Stax 50th anniversary set (Booker T and the MGs - Soul Limbo, the sound of summer)
