What are you listening to right now? (VOL I)
Posted by: Tam on 06 June 2005
Anyway, to kick things off, I'm currently, and probably for most of the rest of this week, listening to Radio 3's Beethoven Experience. They're doing one of the piano concertos at the moment and (number 2 with Glenn Gould). Anyway, the experience thing probably needs its own thread, but, even on this cheapo radio it's proving fairly enjoyable.
So, what are you listening to right now?

Schumann's first symphony and Brahms' 3rd from Furtwangler and VPO and BPO respectively. Fine stuff. Earlier it was Bruckner 7 from Barenboim and the Berliners (an excellent 4th notwithstanding, I'm finding this set otherwise somewhat middle of the road) and now Schubert lieder from Fischer-Dieskau.

Was a self-made play list on iTunes with music from BBC series Life on Mars (super sounds of the early '70s).
Then the postie rang the door bell and is now Richard Thompson "Sweet Warrior."
