What are you listening to right now? (VOL I)
Posted by: Tam on 06 June 2005
Anyway, to kick things off, I'm currently, and probably for most of the rest of this week, listening to Radio 3's Beethoven Experience. They're doing one of the piano concertos at the moment and (number 2 with Glenn Gould). Anyway, the experience thing probably needs its own thread, but, even on this cheapo radio it's proving fairly enjoyable.
So, what are you listening to right now?

Dudes - OST; just sorting through some old CDs and can't beleive what I have spent money on in the past. Still, it's a bit of a hoot and irritating the hell out of the missus. What's wrong with a bit of Megadeath on a Sunday morning say I?
Better put some Vivaldi on next to bring some inner calm back to things

Megadeath ? I have a suggestion to make (and indeed listen to it, now...)
Earlier:
The Miraculaous Mandarin (off a 1980 6 CD box, directed by Adam Fischer and the Hungarian State Symphony Orchestra - Descent recording for my experience with the Mandarin (WHAT a libretto !!!), so far...)
Also:
and:
(you sometimes find gems for 6 EUR, without Todd Garfinkles help

)
But also:
Finally bought it, and a lot of what people say (here) is true. Not that I have been Breckers biggest fan in the past, but this shows that everybody was in his best "mode" to deliver a great last record.
Oh, and of course: (twice...)
cheers
Stefan

Ryan - yup, that's the one and couldn't agree more with your succint movie review!
Been a balmy Cuban afternoon here with various cuts from the Buena Vista collective in their post and pre Wim Wenders / Ry Cooder guises
My vote goes to Bebo Valdés over Rubén Gonzaléz

Whatever the cover - this is great music.
