What are you listening to right now? (VOL I)
Posted by: Tam on 06 June 2005
Anyway, to kick things off, I'm currently, and probably for most of the rest of this week, listening to Radio 3's Beethoven Experience. They're doing one of the piano concertos at the moment and (number 2 with Glenn Gould). Anyway, the experience thing probably needs its own thread, but, even on this cheapo radio it's proving fairly enjoyable.
So, what are you listening to right now?

Next
ABC - Lexicon Of Love
And then
Queen - Night At The Opera
The remastered jobbie - always sounded rubbish until a slight upgrade, now sounds fantastic!

JJ Cale "Collected", a new 3 disc anthology. Listening on my new iMac through Harmon Kardon SoundstickIIs, and quite honestly it sounds pretty fine.

Is it the SRV one?
I love the way the keyboard fits fingers and the way you can pull chords.
I'm saving for a new one.
Then they're goin' to send me up on the hills far away.

No, it's Rory Gallagher's "Tatocaster" as he liked to call it - Rasher and I had a great day out earlier this year at the 'Rock Guitar' exhibition at Harrod's (and talking a lot about music and stuff and drinking quite a lot of excellent beer, though we could have drunk more had not evening appointments interefered!!!).
Sadly, this wasn't on display when we went on the first day of the exhibition, so I just had to go back a week later with my family...

Oh yes!
I remember your pics!
Now i saw a nice mexican one that comes not so much for my exausted pockets and a Vox s/h amp in the local shop.
Before falling asleep i sometimes wonder how it could look on top of my retired bluesman belly!

We look forward to the pics, Gianluigi!
