What are you listening to right now? (VOL I)

Posted by: Tam on 06 June 2005

Anyway, to kick things off, I'm currently, and probably for most of the rest of this week, listening to Radio 3's Beethoven Experience. They're doing one of the piano concertos at the moment and (number 2 with Glenn Gould). Anyway, the experience thing probably needs its own thread, but, even on this cheapo radio it's proving fairly enjoyable.

So, what are you listening to right now?

Radiohead - OK Computer

Didn't do much for me 1997 and is having the same effect 10 years later.

The "eek" was actually 'cause I finally figured out how to do the album pics on a Mac - I am pretty slow at this stuff.

re L Veirs, I have them all now, so I am a fan. Picked up Year of Meteors and Saltbreakers at her June 9th gig here in Pdx. YoM and Saltbreakers are both more uptempo rock compared to the atmospherics of Carbon Glacier. Not totally different but enough to be noticable. The two earliest albums are more of her folk roots/base. Saltbreakers contains great songs (lots of nautical/ocean references), maybe more so instrumentally than lyrically this time. I think YoM is the stronger album for both lyric and production. When I find someone I like as much as Ms V, I tend to be a completist.
