What are you listening to right now? (VOL I)
Posted by: Tam on 06 June 2005
Anyway, to kick things off, I'm currently, and probably for most of the rest of this week, listening to Radio 3's Beethoven Experience. They're doing one of the piano concertos at the moment and (number 2 with Glenn Gould). Anyway, the experience thing probably needs its own thread, but, even on this cheapo radio it's proving fairly enjoyable.
So, what are you listening to right now?

munch,
I simply adore Doris Day's voice!
She was a good singer. ( more so than her acting )
I've scored a sealed record yesterday and was giving it a spin.

Hi Haim i hope you are all well.
One album you have posted that i have.
I play his music in the morning in the summer when i get up with my coffee on the patio.
Regards Munch.
Munch,
Nothing like a good coffee on a patio.
I just finished doing some work around the house and getting ready for dinner. Later we are planning on watching a movie, though I don't know how much fun it is going to be since it is a political one.
I hope that you are doing well.
regards,
Haim

I'm with you on that Munch. I have Sahb, Golden Earring, Lizzy and Rory G as among the best live acts I have seen. Vambo rules!
How do those double discs scrub up sound wise?
Regards,
Steve

I know little about classical music, but always enjoy it most on Sunday mornings.

Yeah, munch - never seen them live, but liked them since I was a college at first heard them sing about Big Louie. Saw them do Framed and Next on TV - and Delilah. of course. Very good band IMO.

Steve - you get two separate discs - so it's like buying the separate albums. No complaints from me about the sound quality.

Miles Davis - Bitches Brew, what a load of tuneless twaddle,it's not often I don't listen to the end of a CD but this one didn't last long on either disc.
