What are you listening to right now? (VOL I)

Posted by: Tam on 06 June 2005

Anyway, to kick things off, I'm currently, and probably for most of the rest of this week, listening to Radio 3's Beethoven Experience. They're doing one of the piano concertos at the moment and (number 2 with Glenn Gould). Anyway, the experience thing probably needs its own thread, but, even on this cheapo radio it's proving fairly enjoyable.

So, what are you listening to right now?

I saw him live a few months back here in Edinburgh - fantastic show - just him, a piano, bass and drums - one of the best gigs I've been to in years.

He played some good stuff off his next album which he was heading to the studio to record after the tour.

A real talent.

39 minutes, 54 years old, of pristine guitar playing.

Recorded in spring of 1953.

Reminds me a bit of Huw's clouds..

This may be better at 3AM with the lights out, but it's a soothing way to start today's listening now.

It most certainly is - if you can try to listen to the This Is The Ice Age album which is absolutely wonderful.
