What are you listening to right now? (VOL I)

Posted by: Tam on 06 June 2005

Anyway, to kick things off, I'm currently, and probably for most of the rest of this week, listening to Radio 3's Beethoven Experience. They're doing one of the piano concertos at the moment and (number 2 with Glenn Gould). Anyway, the experience thing probably needs its own thread, but, even on this cheapo radio it's proving fairly enjoyable.

So, what are you listening to right now?

after (the very funny)

kuma, if you still smoke (which I assume) and wanna get an idea what that does to you, listen to Kikuchi's occasional very "wet" coughing on "Tosca". Delicious...

Besides that: bit of hard core, But for a confessing Paul Motian fan, this is heaven...

cheers (cough, cough...)

Dear Stefan, and Kuma, Smoking! I always think of the wet cough at coffee time as a great pleasure. Disgusting, but a pleasure!! One the unalloyed pleasures of life!!!

ATB from George [Fredrik Fiske]...

I was a heavy smoker, myself (three packs of Gauloises, a day) - So I'm entitled to speak... While I vaguely remember some "pleasures" with it, the morning coughing does not belong to it.

Although... Funnily, when I quit, amongst the things I missed badly was "a deep breath".

Off topic, I guess Big Grin

Love Bill Evans.
Did you get rid of your record collection when you gave up on vinyl, too?

It is an ok album. I definitely like Fumbling Towards Ecstasy and Surfacing more. It is hard to believe that I have not seen her live since the mid 90s. I should make an effort to see more live music. Plus she is gorgeous.

I have been listening to some Paul Weller this evening. It must be the influence of all the forum posts originating from the UK. Haven't seen him live since the Jam days. Ouch. Now I feel old.
