What are you listening to right now? (VOL I)
Posted by: Tam on 06 June 2005
Anyway, to kick things off, I'm currently, and probably for most of the rest of this week, listening to Radio 3's Beethoven Experience. They're doing one of the piano concertos at the moment and (number 2 with Glenn Gould). Anyway, the experience thing probably needs its own thread, but, even on this cheapo radio it's proving fairly enjoyable.
So, what are you listening to right now?

Kings of Convenience - Quiet is the New Loud
A modern classic, in my view, - as is their second album, Riot on an Empty Street.

Taken from John's own website, he doesn't take himself too seriously. If his music continues to progress, perhaps he could front the Buduls someday

Try the Mountain Goats, uniquely good stuff.

After Bartok's three piano concerts (which didn't really grab my attention), I'm now with a long friend:

Stefan,
Bartok turned me off ten years ago and I never went back to him. Perhaps I should try him again...
The Bosendorfer Imperial 290 really sounds imperial.

Haim
