What are you listening to right now? (VOL I)

Posted by: Tam on 06 June 2005

Anyway, to kick things off, I'm currently, and probably for most of the rest of this week, listening to Radio 3's Beethoven Experience. They're doing one of the piano concertos at the moment and (number 2 with Glenn Gould). Anyway, the experience thing probably needs its own thread, but, even on this cheapo radio it's proving fairly enjoyable.

So, what are you listening to right now?

Elmer Bernstein's From Noon Till Three (a recent double CD - with Cannon For Cordoba - by Varese Sarabande - Club Title, limited edition). A really infectious mixture of gentle, stirring and comedic tunes - superb. The companion score is a little raucous and not in the same class (IMHO) as From Noon Till Three.

"Between the eyes of love I call your name
Behind the guarded walls I used to go
Upon a summer wind theres a certain melody
Takes me back to the place that I know
Down on the beach"

Indeed a good album.

Ha, you're right there. But it wouldn't be the first time that the arrival of a TT has soon been followed by a CDS. Winker
