What are you listening to right now? (VOL I)

Posted by: Tam on 06 June 2005

Anyway, to kick things off, I'm currently, and probably for most of the rest of this week, listening to Radio 3's Beethoven Experience. They're doing one of the piano concertos at the moment and (number 2 with Glenn Gould). Anyway, the experience thing probably needs its own thread, but, even on this cheapo radio it's proving fairly enjoyable.

So, what are you listening to right now?

I only have their Shos/Prok/Brit CD, but I also find it remarkable...

Disc two and three of

which is a bit of a mixed feeling thing... Very good parts (like the Schumann and teh Gulda pieces) along with more "mediocre" parts. All in all a welcome combination !

cheers

Funny, I was just eyeing Wispelwey's CD of Bach's Cello Suites on Amazon - anyone heard that?

Right now I'm listening to Love - Forever Changes.

CCR were a band that after I got the first album I bought every one on the day of its release - only Mardi Gras disappointed. I also buy John Fogerty's infrequent albums as they come out and only the dreary Eye Of The Zombie disappointed.

I guess John Fogerty (my favourite electric guitarist) has a style that dominates throughout so if you don't like his style then you're not going to be a Credence fan. Pendulum is probably the least guitar dominated album they did.

Still gotta stop listening now ........ back to work.

ROTF
How is it? I have resisted the temptation so far?

Currently on the 555 "Watermelon Slim and the Workers" - righteous, no frills blues.
