What are you listening to right now? (VOL I)

Posted by: Tam on 06 June 2005

Anyway, to kick things off, I'm currently, and probably for most of the rest of this week, listening to Radio 3's Beethoven Experience. They're doing one of the piano concertos at the moment and (number 2 with Glenn Gould). Anyway, the experience thing probably needs its own thread, but, even on this cheapo radio it's proving fairly enjoyable.

So, what are you listening to right now?

Don´t know exactly, but he died after short ilness, and people were asked to send the money, they would have used for flowers at the funeral, to a diabetes foundation instead, so probably he died of a heart-attack as the complication of diabetes.

Hi Jim

It appears you are using imageshack as a source.

I have found it very easy to locate an album image on amazon.com or at an artists website or anywhere probably, I use a mac so I "control/click" simulataneously with the cursor on the image and choose "copy image address" (I believe if you right click with windows you will get a similar menu and can make that same choice or "copy") then come to music room, reply to this thread, and use the second from right menu option in the row of buttons at the top of the reply screen to "paste" (on mac, apple button to left space bar/V simulyaneously) the "image URL" and locate as you wish on your message.

With luck you will get no borders and it will maybe be easier than the way you are trying now.

Hopefully I haven't overstepped by offering advice.

best regards

Jeff A

ps - image size will automatically be same as you copied

Jim
when you have the naim "Image URL" box, use the apple button left of your space bar simultaneously with V to get the addres to "copy" to the box. add your wording/description to the message and you are done.

This advice was found by me somewhere in these 928 pages and still spent hours getting it to work right Smile

I enjoy seeing your listening choices, doing it this way is not unlike being in a record store handling the actual jackets - it is tactile

good listenin'

Considering it's 32bit digital the sound quality is not very good. Dissapointing for a 3cd.

I WILL get it right.

Jim, you need to add [/IMG] immediately after the .jpg to complete the command and bring up the image.

Jim, keep trying you'll get it. If you keyboard is programmed different than mine possiblly "control/V" simultaneously will get the address in the URL box. Make sure when you have controll/clicked on the image you choose "copy image address", not copy image or any of the others.

Thanks. I seem to have forgotton how to do it. Yes I now see what was wrong. It does appear there are many ways to post these covers.

How is your system sounding. Those Kudos speakers look great.

Fern,

Shuttle me an email at:
kuma@mybriks.com
I'll have either kjg or roos send you an instruction to download a Ircle or equivalent. The current instruction up on the AA is so old and 9 out of 10 it won't work. :x
The Java Applet blows and you can't use the same chat client on the mac. ( I think )

Everybody raves about Bill's albums with LaFaro and Johnson, but Gomez is phenomenal here, understated but so tasty - my personal favorite Evans album I have heard.
