What are you listening to right now? (VOL I)
Posted by: Tam on 06 June 2005
Anyway, to kick things off, I'm currently, and probably for most of the rest of this week, listening to Radio 3's Beethoven Experience. They're doing one of the piano concertos at the moment and (number 2 with Glenn Gould). Anyway, the experience thing probably needs its own thread, but, even on this cheapo radio it's proving fairly enjoyable.
So, what are you listening to right now?

Vashti Bunyan
A wonderful, wonderful, wonderful record that everybody should have or at least heard - one of my very favourite albums - her Lookaftering album is pretty good too. Vashti puts out an album every 35 years of so - looking forward to her next album when I'm pushing on 90.

I am not a Norah Jones fan, but I really enjoyed her singing on these two CD's. She gives a soulful rendition of Court and Spark and lends and ethereal voice to the other CD. BTW, I also like Ms. Turner's singing on Edith and the Kingpin. Edith's pain is laced in her voice.

Hi there Worm!
Of course that's matter of personal tastes but i think that this album is one of the best things i've had the chance to listen to in the last years.
Please bring your friend my regards and compliments for the good job done here!

Bruce Springsteen - Magic. First few listenings - very promising! Snagged two tickets for a rehearsal concert, which was amazing. Seeing the Boss again in five weeks for a "real" concert - can't wait.
