What are you listening to right now? (VOL I)
Posted by: Tam on 06 June 2005
Anyway, to kick things off, I'm currently, and probably for most of the rest of this week, listening to Radio 3's Beethoven Experience. They're doing one of the piano concertos at the moment and (number 2 with Glenn Gould). Anyway, the experience thing probably needs its own thread, but, even on this cheapo radio it's proving fairly enjoyable.
So, what are you listening to right now?

Today I have been mostly listening to:
Absolutely first class. I've not listened to anything so evocative of a past era for so long. OK, so I have lots of it already but put together it's first rate, even the duds are good!
White Line Fever, One Chord Wonders, Whole Wide World, Sex & Drugs & Rock & Roll, Let's Loot The Supermarket..., Sweet Gene Vincent, Reconnez Cherie, B.A.B.Y., Lucky Number, I Go to Pieces, Terry, , Brilliant Mind et al. It just goes on...

Think I'll try this again at the weekend. Sounds a bit too theoretical for this evening
Cheers

Well performed by Jeno Jando in April 1991
Recorded in the Unitarian Church in Budapest...
The sound quality is close, but a bit too bright
with the church acoustics...
It is very well played but deserves a less clanky
sound-recording studio.
