What are you listening to right now? (VOL I)

Posted by: Tam on 06 June 2005

Anyway, to kick things off, I'm currently, and probably for most of the rest of this week, listening to Radio 3's Beethoven Experience. They're doing one of the piano concertos at the moment and (number 2 with Glenn Gould). Anyway, the experience thing probably needs its own thread, but, even on this cheapo radio it's proving fairly enjoyable.

So, what are you listening to right now?

SJB,

Stick with it and your patience will be rewarded. I felt the same way and found the last 4 tracks the easiest to access. Play these on rotation and then start at the beginning. 'Guns are the Tongues' is the best song by RT since 'Hard on Me' from Mock Tudor. I can't wait to see him live on the 20th and reckon it could be my gig of the year. In fact I think it might be better than than Porcupine Tree in November, but then again...

Great album, best of his I have heard. Saw him at the Oregon Zoo outdoor series summer of '04, with Todd Snider opening. Great evening of singerly songwriting excellence. "Brand new '64 Dodge, November of '63" ..... oh, how I remember the anticipation of new car releases back then, that lyric captures it perfectly.

Best regards,
