What are you listening to right now? (VOL I)

Posted by: Tam on 06 June 2005

Anyway, to kick things off, I'm currently, and probably for most of the rest of this week, listening to Radio 3's Beethoven Experience. They're doing one of the piano concertos at the moment and (number 2 with Glenn Gould). Anyway, the experience thing probably needs its own thread, but, even on this cheapo radio it's proving fairly enjoyable.

So, what are you listening to right now?

She is not bad is she Jeff but you basically have to get her stuff from Australia or NZ.

You might want to give this band a listen as well.

I thought what I heard of JC on Ben Lee's podcast was pretty impressive (plus she toured with Laura Veirs earlier this year and I trust LV's taste). Found a site where the JC cd is available for $24US - it is on the list to get.

Thanks for the link, I will check it out.

Still have to get my head around Laura Veirs. Had heard her first disc when it was available on cdbaby but her new stuff is nagging at me to buy it.Probably will do so.

One thing about The Flood is that they are constructing a new web site. But they backed Kevin Welch on a tour of Australia once and they have a live disc from it that is vg. Always meant to buy more of their stuff but somehow never got around to it.
