What are you listening to right now? (VOL I)

Posted by: Tam on 06 June 2005

Anyway, to kick things off, I'm currently, and probably for most of the rest of this week, listening to Radio 3's Beethoven Experience. They're doing one of the piano concertos at the moment and (number 2 with Glenn Gould). Anyway, the experience thing probably needs its own thread, but, even on this cheapo radio it's proving fairly enjoyable.

So, what are you listening to right now?

Its no more, my son road over it today on his Truck a few time's while i was on the phone.
My fault for leaving it on the floor for a few mins.Bless him.

Presumably, you had it on vinyl? It's growing on me too. Not sure it's quite as good as the reviews have said, but time will tell.

I would indeed agree - Scribbled is an excellent album, but Faultlines is even better. It is one of those albums that I can't rate on Amazon because they won't let me give 6 stars out of 5 Smile

I hope you dont get as much this winter as last.
I have not seen you posting much about the concerts you have been to this year .Have you not been to as many or just not posting about them?

Hi Munch.

I hope that you are doing well.
The picture is of reflected light (probably of buildings) on water at night.
Yesterday, after work, I went to hear live jazz ensembles from Holland and Italy. It was a lot of fun with excellent trombone and clarinet playing.
Last night it snowed a little, enough to turn our car on the driveway white.
Keep warm with good music.
Haim

This is a very good jazz trio from Chicago:

She is a Scottish lady late to recording.AMG says she is country, alternative and folk. This sums it up. Songs are voice and guitar with strings and band "enhancements". Clear voice with good story lines "political" is used, ie not straight love songs.
Not much to dislike, unless she does not click with you.
Give her a go. Ooerr misses!

it is a far better disc than Ancient Muse.

Far better this makes it sound bad, has she made a bad disc? All the ones I have do it for me. Saying one is better is like say which of your children you prefer.
